I have managed after a bunch of retries to get the watch recognized by the app momentarily after a couple of button presses and whatnot, (because the phone is actually paired with the watch) but with no possibility to sync. Needless to say, the WebUpdater also recognized the watch with no problem, so I have no clue what can be going on.Īs for Garmin Express the watch is recognized (it connects to the phone (using an iPhone here)) but it stops halfway through the "connecting" phase on the app giving a "pairing failed" error. I tried the Garmin webupdate tool (saw it on another post) and it does recognize the watch and says it transfers the new firmware to the watch, but the watch doesn't seem to recognize the update file. I've done the same, plus deleting the files on the watch (which made it even worst as now the watch is broken to say the least), and just now tested downgrading Express which did not work for me as well. I contacted Garmin support and I'm still waiting for a reply. All the other devices are being recognized properly, and for the sake of the Aviator, flyGarmin is able to update the navigation maps, so I know the computer is working fine and the watch is being recognized and properly syncing (at least with flyGarmin databases). Both golf watches connect to a USB port on the charger. Updating software and golf courses on the S3 follows the same process as the S2 golf watch. Now you can commence with the updates by initiating the CourseView Updater application and follow the on-screen directions. The process requires you to download and install Garmin CourseView Updater on your computer from the Garmin website Connect the charging cradle to the computer USB port and the other end of the charging cradle to the S2 golf watch. Well, then a week ago I tried to do an update and COULD NOT The problem I was having is my computer recognized the Garmin device and would show the drive in Explorer, but the software could not recognize that it was connected. Upgrading the Approach S60 Garmin requires a Garmin Connect account for the Garmin Express application software to be loaded on your PC.
